I have had this moment in my mind for a good while now! I wanted to capture the moment of an Encounter with a wild animal and the magical atmosphere such a moment can create.

I felt the need to keep the composition pretty simple and create a line if distant light to take the eye to the most important element of the story which is of course the stag.

This painting was a pleasure to paint it is one of both loose and detailed painting.
